Wipsturtgril / Oeverloper / Common Sandpiper

This sandpiper shows why it’s called "oeverloper" (shorewalker, bankwalker) in Dutch: one foot in the water, one foot on the ditch’s bank. The Frisian name refers to the whipping of its tail as it runs along the banks (gril: shore walker).
