Nazis burned the library of Magnus Hirschfeld — a Jewish physician and sexologist — for being “un-German.” But at least one book survived and is now housed at the University of Minnesota in the Tretter Collection for GLBT Studies.   1. For many years, I was taught that the Nahtzees burned books by “Jewish authors”, and nothing else. Nobody actually described WHAT was in those books.

    Thank you for getting the information out there! I’m so glad more and more people are beginning to realize exactly WHAT was burned.
