I came across this poem online. I thought it was pretty interesting.

I acted like a Movie Star
A bona fide Hollywood scene
I drove a real expensive car
I thought I was the new James Dean
I ate from a silver platter
I had gold jewels just the same
My lovely world couldn’t shatter
Because of money, sex and fame
I had pretty girls around me
Convincing me the sex was good
Telling me I would always be
The Elvis of the neighborhood
Every girl was a living doll
I snapped my fingers and they came
For they were at my beck and call
Because of money, sex and fame
But I went and blew my money
On girls and Cocaine it was spent
And believe me it’s not funny
How my fortune just came and went
I lost all my pretty girlfriends
Not a one of them knows my name
For we all know a fake love ends
When there’s no money, sex and fame
I acted like a Movie Star
I made love to a million girls
I drove a real expensive car
I acted like I owned the world
But my world’s completely shattered
My heart is filled with guilt and shame
I’ve lost all that ever mattered
Because of money, sex and fame
