Bruno Mars has spoken about his feelings on being chosen to sing at the 2014 Super Bowl and why he chose the Red Hot Chili Peppers to sing with him. Mars, who will rock the stage during the half-time show said he was surprised to be tapped by the National Football League as the featured half-time performer. Mars will share the stage with alternative rockers the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He explained how that collaboration came to be. “The NFL was, when we got the phone call, they were like ‘Hey, we love to on these things, we love to raise the stakes. And you can have another artist there with you. Would you like to do something like that?’ And the first band I thought of was the Red Hot Chili Peppers.” In past years, the Super Bowl has featured pop singers such as Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and Billy Joel delivering the anthem. 1. Happy that Bruno Mars invited the Red Hot Chili Peppers to join him for the Super Bowl. Only wish they had more time to perform. Would've loved to see the Peppers perform another song.

  2. I don't understand why so much RHCP-Fans are hating on Bruno Mars. I mean, I am a big fan of RHCP, I own all their records and I think they're the greatest band in the universe BUT I still think Bruno Mars did a pretty good job and I am glad, that he did the perfomance at the Super Bowl and not Rihanna or Katy Perry. You can't compare Bruno Mars to the ordinary pop-music shit that is played on the radio all day. Bruno Mars is a very talented musician and for that his success is qualified. Yes, he IS young but in the 80's the Peppers were also young. Now they're legends. It is very likely that Mars will also considered a "legend" in 30 years, because he's talented and knows what he's doing. Even if you personally do not like his music, if you have any idea of making music, you'll have to see that Bruno Mars music has more depth and quality like usual pop-music..

  3. All the commentive haters of bruno, were the ones who sat at home on their couch stuffing their face with doodoo and watching his success on TV, while everyone partied like kings and queens on the field!!!! He's beyond you. If you think he sucks, you suck! Where have you come in your career? Or do you even have a job?
